On the fringes of Berlin, somewhere between industry and emptiness, characters drift between states of activity and passivity. Sylvia Plath's poem Getting There is passed back and forth through translation software, ever abstracting the content of the lines, causing the text to undulate fluidly between meaning and non-meaning. Connections then, between text and performance, exist unconsciously, revealing less so the intention of the work's construction and more so the viewer's own preconceptions and patterns of thought.
